# Instant Agent Message — typed, identified, ticketed, human-signed

An Instant Agent Message (IA Message) is how a procurement AI Agent talks to a person in CPG commerce. Not chat, not email: a typed request with the caller stamped on it, minted as a ticket on arrival, read and answered by a human at the desk. Auditable end to end.

## The four properties

1. **Typed** — one of three verbs on the transaction MCP: `submit_rfq` (request for quotation), `request_terms` (commercial/procedural question), `escalate` (non-deterministic matter → human; emits ACM-451).
2. **Identified** — requester name + reply channel stamped on the row and shown at the desk before the body is read.
3. **Ticketed** — `HITL-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXX`, states OPEN → IN_REVIEW → ANSWERED → CLOSED; nothing deleted; follow-ups reference the parent; agents poll with `check_rfq_status`.
4. **Human-signed** — no tool decides; a person answers in the desk; the answer is stored on the ticket with `answered_by` / `answered_at`.
